These newer fans are so good because they use newer technology Brushless DC motors (BLDC).  Brushless motor technology is what’s used in the latest battery powered hand tools (like the 1,400 ft-lb Milwaukee M18 FUEL Impact Gun).  This is why these new fans are MUCH more powerful, and better than any older fan in every way, even better than aftermarket fans too!
